The Bears face the Brockville Braves during their first round of play-off. So far it has not looked good for the team. Wednesday’s game, the second in the round, at the Den brought a 2-5 loss.

No scoring was recorded during a rather bland first period.

Brockville pulled ahead in the second period with a score by Evan Kula at 5:48, followed quickly with a powerplay goal by Eric Faith at 6:21. Fletcher Anderson, assisted by Alexandre Way and Scott Gervais finally managed to bring the Bears onto the scoreboard with powerplay goal at 17:53.

Brockville widened the gab again with a goal by Emerick Nadeau at 11:12 in the third period. Tate Leesons goal at 12:05, assisted by Theo Todd and Fletcher Anderson, gave the Bears a renewed hope.  However those hopes evaporated quickly with another score by Brockville’s Eric Faith at 13:23, followed by a powerplay goal by Simon Kerr at 19:27.

First Star was awarded to Eric Faith (BRO), Second Star went to Fletcher Anderson, and Third Star went to Chase McCardle (BRO).
