Carleton Place investigation concludes without incident

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – The police investigation being conducted today by the Carleton Place Ontario Provincial Police on High Street in the Town of Carleton Place has been concluded safely without incident.

OPP attended a residence on High Street in regards to the well-being of a male. Upon further investigation police secured the area in the interest of public safety.

A male was apprehended safely and without incident with the assistance of the OPP East Region Emergency Response Team, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and the OPP Canine Unit.

High Street has been opened and is available for driver and pedestrian traffic again. There is no longer any concern for public safety in regards to this incident in the area.

The Carleton Place OPP would like to thank the public for their cooperation in avoiding the area as requested so the incident could be concluded successfully.

The investigation is continuing.
