Parks Canada would like to advise that vehicles may encounter 20 min delays at the Burritt’s Rapids Swing Bridge on Friday, September 28 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. These intermittent closures will facilitate adjustments to the bridge and complete the remaining work that will bring the project to an end. Children and parents crossing the bridge on foot to access bussing will be accommodated.

This work is a part of Parks Canada’s $3 billion investment to support infrastructure work to heritage, visitor, waterway and highway assets located within national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas across Canada. These investments represent the largest federal infrastructure plan in the history of Parks Canada.
