Five vehicle collision starts off long weekend in Carleton Place

Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are continuing the investigation of a collision resulting in serious injuries on Highway 7 between Highway 15 and Napoleon Street in the Town of Carleton Place.

Officers were called to the scene at 5:23 p.m. on Friday Sept. 1. Initial investigation indicates five vehicles were involved, including two passenger cars and three motorcycles.

Three people were injured, two with minor injuries and one person suffering major injuries.

The scene was secured for approximately eight hours. Highway 7 was opened again at approximately 01:00am.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
