Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are dealing with two flooded highways in Lanark County.
County Road 29 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills is completely covered near the intersection with Mcwatty Road.
The road is impassable and road users are asked to avoid the area completely or use the Blakeney Road.
Officers responded to reports of partially submerged vehicle on Monday April 15 at 05:06 a.m.
Municipal Staff are attempting to relieve the flooding but the road is not expected to be cleared until at least 12:00.
Highway 7 at Kirkham Road in Tay Valley Township is partially flooded OPP are moving traffic in single files. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and to expect delays. There is no estimated time when the Highway will be completely open.
OPP remind road users to be aware that levels of water on the roads may increase suddenly and that the depth of water can be deceptive. Flood water can often disguise other road hazards and the integrity of the road surfaces may be compromised.
