Between Monday January 7, 2019 and Monday January 14, 2019 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 338 calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total. – 31 – Including.

Car / Deer – 16

Parking Lots – 2

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“In Ditch”) – 8

Thefts

Officers have charged a woman after a series of incidents in downtown Perth stores between January 9 and January 11.

OPP had received reports of a female suspect who had distracted staff at different locations and stolen their purses. On one occasion when challenged she became aggressive before fleeing the scene.

Tiffany MURRAY (38 years) of the Town of Perth is charged:

One (1) Count – Assault.

Three (3) Counts – Theft Under  $5000

Three (3) Counts – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000

Two (2) Counts – Possession of a Credit Card Obtained by an Offence.

One (1) Count – Theft of Credit Card

Contrary to the Criminal Code.

She was released on conditions to attend the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
