Library roof suffers leak

The Perth & District Union public library recently suffered some damage to the roof. There is a substantial crack in the roof where the main building meets with the old fire hall, Councillor Brock McPherson told council at Tuesday’s meeting.

Changes to councillor integrity rules 

Changes to what constitutes a conflict of interest for town councillors was announced. The integrity commissioner has laid out stricter rules by telling councillors not to use any personal electronic devices for conducting council business. Deputy Mayor Ed McPherson says, “I always feel like we’re in the dark” when changes to council conduct are made.
