Jennifer Miller, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism, presented a recommendation to council to award an RFP to CGS Signs and Stripes Inc. for the removal of the existing signs in town, and the production and installation of five new entrance signs to replace the existing signs at entry points.

This is the last key piece of signage work.

New signs will be located at Lombard Street, Brockville Street, County Road 43 from Perth, CountyRoad 43 from Merrickville, and Union Street.

The signs will be 5×8 feet allowing for good visibility, on 11-foot steel posts painted exterior black with back-crossers for support. No power is available at Union Street so CGS Signs and Stripes has suggested a solar option which comes with a $4,070.40 price tag for a total cost of $69,840.94.
