Traffic on Lombard Street has been chaotic over the past few days, but will start to ease somewhat soon. Meanwhile work on the Stone Arch Bridge is imminent and will also be causing some delays.

“The traffic restriction will change during work on the Stone Arch Bridge. The work will start on the east side and the worst of the traffic restrictions will be done at the start of the project,” said Troy Dunlop, Smiths Falls director of public works and utilities

The Foster Street project is also ready to go according to Dunlop and work should start next week.

“Notices will be sent out to residents shortly,” said Dunlop.
