OCWA expects year-end surplus for Carleton Place

At the Jan. 24 meeting of Carleton Place council received a statement from from the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) for the period of Jan. 1, 2016 to Nov. 30, 2016. The actual expenditures for that period were  $1,464,984, while $1,477,513 was the amount budgeted for, creating a surplus of $12,529 for 11 month period.

OCWA operates, maintains and manages some water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs and pumping stations for the municipality of Carleton Place.

OCWA staff are forecasting that the town will end the year with a slight surplus.
