Ottawa EOHA make a come back against the Smiths Falls Settlers

The Smiths Falls Settlers played another game in their Best-Of playoffs series against the EOHA Saturday.

Maverick Baxtrom shot the first goal of the game for the Settlers with assists by Adam Porter and Austin Vallier. EOHA countered with two scores by Joey Driscoll and Noah Edmonds later in the period.

The Settlers tied the game early in the second period with a score by Otto Thomas, assisted by Adam Porter and Jake Awan. But then Connor Drost and Vincent Galipeau scored two goals for EOHA, bringing them to a lead. The Settlers narrowed the gab with another score by Otto Thomas, assisted again by Adam Porter. Vincent Galipeau however extended EOHA’s lead with a goal late in the second period.

The only score of the third period was by Valentin Laporterie of the EOHA into the empty net close to the end of the period.

First Star of the game went to Vincent Galipeau (EOHA), Second Star went to Connor Drost (EOHA), and Third Star went to Frederick Durocher (EOHA).

The Settlers next games at home, this time against the Manawaki Mustangs, are Monday 7.30pm and Thursday 3.00pm.
