Police arrest woman for fraudulent prescription

On Monday July 24, 2017 at police were called to attend a pharmacy on Lombard Street in Smiths Falls for a report of a suspicious prescription.

Police attended and investigation revealed that a 51-year-old female of Ottawa, Ont. had used a forged prescription at several pharmacies in Smiths Falls.

Police located the suspect and placed her under arrest on scene.

The suspect is charged with three counts of uttering a forged document and possession of a controlled substance. She was later released by way of an appearance notice and officer in charge undertaking with conditions.
