Castle Masonry and Construction will continue repointing portions of the Carleton Place Town Hall, a decision that was made at the Feb. 14, 2017 council meeting.

This project is a continuation of the portion of Carleton Place Town Hall that was repointed in summer 2016. This project is in conjunction with the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program — a two-year contribution agreement.

Now in its second year, the town plans to continue repointing portions of the exterior of Town Hall and refurbish 12 windows and one door.

The repointing will be consistent with the existing work and the historic value of the building.

Castle Masonry and Construction will be hired at a rate of $15 per square foot. The price of scaffolding, which will be done Scaffold-Russ Dilworth Limited will depend on what part of the building is repointed.

The project is expected to start in early spring.
