Santa and Mrs. Claus came to Carleton Place on Saturday, Nov. 25 and the crowd along Bridge Street was excited to see them!
Saturday evening’s parade was a great success, if attendance was the best indicator. Weather was milder than it could have been, and the smiling faces of children and adults alike were abundant. Some of the businesses along Bridge Street extended working hours to help make the people feel comfortable and welcomed.
The energy was electric as were the floats all around! Participants were creative and excited to share their enthusiasm and warm wishes for the holidays.
The theme for this year’s parade was Canada 150 and there were food donations being collected for the Mountain of Food project to benefit Lanark County Food Bank.
