Santa Claus came to Smiths Falls on Saturday evening with the annual parade winding its way from the Memorial Center down Beckwith Street to Lower Reach Park.
People of all ages lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Santa. And since Santa is a being from the magical realms and can show up anywhere at the same time if he wishes, he appeared not once but twice to delight the crowd.
A light dusting of snow enhanced the brightly lit floats even more and created a wonderful festive mood all around.
Judging for float entries took place at the Memorial Center before the start of the parade. Best Commercial Entry went to Cambells Trucking, Best Non-Commercial to the float of the Free Methodists, Most Original to IH Ranch, Best Theme to Smile Sensations, and Best Overall to the Settlers Hockey Team.
