In June of 2015 the Town of Smiths Falls launched a service sustainability review (SSR), as part of the town’s strategic plan. It is a multi-phase review that will analyze all services offered by the municipality by the end of 2018. The second round launched recently.
In this phase, services that are being reviewed are winter control operations, traffic line markings, and Heritage House museum.
The SSR is being conducted in-house by service review teams comprised of town employees. Interim progress reports are slated to be presented at the Aug. 8 Committee of the Whole meeting.
The second round 2 SSR is expected to be completed in October.
