Suspects nabbed in early morning robbery in Smiths Falls

On Thursday November 23, 2017 at approximately 9:45 a.m. police responded to an armed
robbery at a business on Lombard Street. Investigation revealed that Jeremy Gagnon (19) of
Smiths Falls and Katrina Burke (33) of Smiths Falls attended the business with the intent of
robbing the store with a weapon. The suspects made off with a small quantity of cash but were
located a short time later by police and arrested.

Both suspects are facing numerous weapon and robbery related offence charges. Both were later released by way of promises to appear in court and officer in charge undertakings.
