The impressive green space of Lockwood Memorial Park in Westport is the new home of the Westport Heritage Festival, on all day Saturday June 24.

Over 40 vendors and heritage themed exhibitors will sell art, crafts, unique one-of-a-kind gifts and delicious homemade food in a pastoral setting next to the community centre.

There’s a petting zoo and face painters for the kid’s, music throughout the day, antique vehicles and a high level roster of artists, authors and community groups participating in this year’s event.

“For generations Westport has hosted a day for a family-friendly get-together, where people relax and spend time in the village,” says Jackalyn Brady, village councillor and chair of the Heritage Day committee.

“We invite friends who love Westport to join us as we showcase the village charm and heritage and traditions. We have lots of great vendors this year and we welcome you with open arms,” she added.

The Westport Heritage Festival runs from 9:00 a.m.  to 4:00 p.m., Saturday June 24.
