The 7th Annual Carleton Place Winter Carnival January 26th, 2019 from 10am-4pm

“We are excited to be hosting the 7th Annual Carleton Place Winter Carnival and thrilled that Luxart Homes is our presenting sponsor. They have supported the Carnival since day one and this event would not be possible without their support.” – Jessica Hansen, Admin and logistics for the CP Winter Carnival.

This year the Carleton Place Winter Carnival Committee decided it needed some change! In past years, since it’s conception, the Carleton Place Winter Carnival has traditionally been the 3rd Saturday in February. This year, it is being moved up to January 26th AND going back to the place of it’s “birth” – the Carleton Place Arena, located at 75 Neelin St!

“We decided it was time for two things this year – change and bring it back to the basics! We have done way with “themes” and instead we are concentrating on FUN activities for the entire family! With moving the Carnival to January, we hope this will mean more snow and not as cold. – Says Shannon O’Neill, Marketing Coordinator

Continuous FREE fun all day long: From 10am-4pm at the ball-diamonds outside the Carleton Place Arena (on Sussex St), there will be obstacle courses, games, entertainment, music, horse drawn trolley rides that will bring everyone down to Market Square on Beckwith St., PLUS some surprises that they can’t tell you about just yet! Upstairs, inside the Carleton Place Arena (75 Neelin St), you will find a warming zone, merchant market, face painting and more entertainment!

Most important notes: Parking will be limited so they encourage carnival goers to park at Market Square and take the horse drawn trolley ride over to the arena. Also, stay tuned to their Facebook page: This is the best place to get up to the minute updates ( Or keep tabs on their website as well

Volunteers: As always, the Carleton Place Winter Carnival wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers. If you’d like to sign up for a 2 hour, 3 hour or “stay for the full day” shift, please email They can also sign off on volunteer hours for students.
