    The Almonte Lawn Bowling Club, 157 Robert St., will host our Canada Bowls Open House celebration from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, Saturday, 2 June 2018. All are welcome to come, watch and play if so desired.

    Lawn bowling, once called, ‘Curling on the Green’, is an enjoyable sport that provides gentle exercise and fresh air for members of all ages, in a friendly social setting. The Club greeted its first members and visitors on 3 June 1911, at the Green located beside the Old Town Hall.  That same friendly greeting is extended to all persons wishing to now join and enjoy this great sport. Our lawn bowling season, now underway, begins in early May and finishes in September, allowing members to enjoy five months of bowling three times a week.
