The Bears finally overcame their home ice losing streak with a solid win over the Navan Grads 5-2, about time one would say.

The Bears wore pink uniforms in honor of breast cancer awareness month for this game.

Theo Todd started the scoring season with a goal at 7.48 in the first period, with assists by Scott Gervais and Reid Russett. Tate Leeson then followed with the second score for the Bears at 19.14, assisted by Ryan Richardson.

Navan replied with an answer 57 seconds into the second period with a goal by Corson Searles.   Not to be outdone, the Bears sent a puck past Navan’s goaltender Seth Carter at the 2.38 mark, a powerplay goal by Tate Leeson with help from Theo Todd and Mitchell Larabie. At 6.09, Ryan Richardson further extended the Bears lead with another score, assisted by Reid Russett and Alex DiCarlo.

Reid Russett, with help from fellow teammates Scott Gervais and Theo Todd, scored next at 5.25 in the third period. Navan’s Francois Drouin shot the final score of the game during a powerplay advantage at 18.44.

The Bears goalie Bradly Dobson held 20 out of 22 shots, while his counterpart Seth Carter stopped 33 out of 38 shots.

First Star of the evening went to Tate Leeson, Second Star went to Reid Russett, and Third Star went to Mitchell Larabie.
