The Rockland Nationals dropped into Smiths Falls for the Friday night game against the Smiths Falls Bears. A crowd of 267 people came out for the Junior A hockey entertainment.
The first period remained scoreless, while Mathieu Blanchette of Rockland landed the first point of the game in the second period. He followed up with another goal at the start of the third period.
Not to be outdone, the Bears tried desperately to turn the fortunes around with Brian Bygrave narrowing the gap with a goal in the third period. At the buzzer though, the Bears were still down. Rockland took a 2-1 win.
