They won, they won!!! The Bears finally delivered a much needed home ice win Friday night against the Kanata Lasers.

The team started on a good note with Tate Leeson scoring the first hit of the game at the 11:18 mark in the first period with help from Theo Todd and Scott Gervais. Joey Warywoda added a powerplay score at 15:40, assisted by Tate Leeson and Mitchell Larabie.

However the second period saw the Lasers wipe out the Bears early lead with three successive goals, two by Trevor Poeze and another by Austin Holmes.

Jacob Cuffley evened the score board with a powerplay goal at 1:54 in the third period, with assists credited to Alexandre Way and Jacob Shankar. The game winning shot though was shot by Ethan Coltart, assisted by Grant Rincke and Jacob Shankar at the 17:17 mark. A penalty for holding less than two minutes before the end of the period however meant a few tense minutes before the Bears were able to carry their lead to the end.

First Star was awarded to Trevor Poeze (KAN), Second Star went to Tate Leeson, and Third Star went to Jacob Shankar.
