LPGA Tour kicks off 2026 season Jan. 29 in Florida
NAPLES, Fla. — Brooke Henderson, once again teaming up with fellow Canadian Corey Conners, finished tied for fifth at the Grant Thornton Invitational, held Dec. 12 to 14 at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
The Canadian pairing posted a three-round total of 23 under par in the three-day mixed-team event, which was won by Lauren Coughlin and Andrew Novak at 28 under par.
Henderson and Conners opened the tournament with a round of 61 in the opening scramble format, followed by rounds of 67 and 65. The Invitational features three formats over three days, combining PGA Tour and LPGA players in a co-ed competition.
The 2025 event marked the third straight year Henderson and Conners have partnered at the Grant Thornton Invitational. The Canadians finished second in 2023 and tied for fourth in 2024.
The tournament concludes the calendar year for many players ahead of the start of the LPGA Tour season. The 2026 LPGA season begins Jan. 29 and runs through Feb. 1 with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
Henderson, 28, is coming off a 2025 LPGA season that included one tour victory, winning the CPKC Women’s Open in Mississauga. This year’s Canadian women’s open will be held in Edmonton at Royal Mayfair Golf Club from Aug. 19 to 23.
During the 2025 season, Henderson recorded three top-10 finishes and 11 top-25 finishes on the LPGA Tour.
