Carleton Place Canadians win against the Bears in overtime 2 to 1. The longstanding rivalry between the two Hwy 15 teams was fought out again under the score board of the Memorial Center Friday night.
The game started after a Remembrance Day ceremony in honour of our veterans.
The first period yielded no score.
Carleton Place broke the stalemate with a score by Zachary Tupker at the end of the second period at 19:50.
Theo Todd, assisted by Scott Gervais, evened the game for the Bears with a goal at 8:42 in the third period. The third period was unfortunately also marred with a number of unsportsmanlike conduct by some players, culminating in serious penalties.
The Canadians went home with the win when Ryland Mosley netted the final goal at 3:25 in overtime.
First Star of the game went to Canadians goalie Vincent Bujold-Roux, Second Star went to Bears goalie Jake Smith, and Third Star went to Ryland Mosley (CPC).
