The libraries of Lanark County are pleased to announce they will be hosting a How To Fair at libraries across Lanark County on Saturday, April 22.
The first annual How To Fair was held at the Perth Union Library in April 2016. This year, it has now expanded to libraries across Lanark County.
“Libraries are places of ongoing learning, and the How To Fair offers opportunities to learn – for everyone, of all ages,” said Erika Heesen, CEO of the Perth Union Library. “We encourage everyone in our community to come out and share or learn a new skill.”
Each library will be transformed for the day with all sorts of stations for you to learn ‘how to …’. You can learn how to use chopsticks, make a button, start seeds, make cider, and more!
Locations and times for the How To Fair are as follows:
Perth Union Library, 10:30-2:30
Carleton Place Public Library, 10:00-1:00
Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte branch), 11:00-3:00
Smiths Falls Public Library, 10:30-2:30
If you have a skill that you’d like to share, contact one of the libraries to volunteer. We look forward to learning ‘how to’ with you!
