Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus
Saturday, Dec. 13 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at More House in Carleton Place. Bring your camera and capture the festive magic during the holiday season.  

Meet the Author – Neda Laketic Soc
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Neda Laketic Soc will be here to discuss her fine art book entitled “Neda’s Creation”. Rooted in the rich artistic traditions of the Balkans and now based in Ottawa, she is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans sculpture, painting, and contemporary multimedia forms.

Lanark Events

Santa Claus Parade
Saturday, Dec. 13, 1 p.m. Runs from the Civitan Hall parking lot up the main street (George Street) to Maple Grove Public School, and typically lasts for 45-60 minutes. It’s followed by a session in the Maple Grove Public School where children can visit with Santa Claus. This year’s theme is “Think Local.”

Mississippi Mills Events

Kintail Country Christmas
Saturday, Dec. 13 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area, with horse-drawn wagon rides, kids’ crafts, Santa photos and outdoor fun around the campfire. Tickets available online through Mississippi Valley Conservation.

Perth Events

Christmas at the Palace
Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crystal Palace comes alive with the sounds of Christmas. This is a day of musical performances by children from Perth and area schools. 

Brooke Valley Christmas Craft Market
Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brooke Valley School is hosting its annual event at the school. The school will be selling homemade lunch and desserts. There will be kids’ activities, a fire and free hot chocolate. Located at 190 Seaborn Lane, Brooke Valley, 20 minutes west of Perth off Hwy. #7

Perth Citizens’ Band Christmas Concert
Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth. The Band will perform a variety of Christmas music including traditional and modern arrangements. Admission is free, but donations are always welcomed!

Smiths Falls Events

Festival of Trees
Friday, Dec. 12, 6 p.m., raffle and auction at the Civitan Club 12468 Hwy 15 North.

North Pole Express
Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario. It’s a Christmas wonderland featuring train rides on the North Pole Express, tractor rides, Santa-grams sent from our Telegraph Office, carolers, artisan vendors, hot cocoa, a visit from the Grinch and so much more. Explore our holiday station and the Museum grounds, featuring crackling fire-pits, carollers, warm refreshments, face-painting, reindeer games, vendors and more! Tickets available through the website.

Santa Claus Parade
Saturday, Dec. 13, 5 p.m. leaving from the Youth Arena and ending at Settlers Ridge Centre. Lots of fun, come join in the Christmas festivities. 

Breakfast with Santa
Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Royal Canadian Legion, 10 Main St., come have breakfast with jolly ol’ St. Nick from 9 to 11 a.m. It’s free of charge for children under 13 with donations kindly accepted from adults.

Live at the Cove
* Saturday, Dec. 13, 7 to 11 p.m., Holiday Rock Show with Young Petty Stones
* Sunday, Dec. 14, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday Funday Chicken Pickin’ Matinee Band
