Blue Jays fever, Halloween fun, and early holiday markets—Hometown Happenings welcomes November

Looking for something to do this weekend? We’ve got you covered.
Hometown Happenings is your go-to list of markets, music, festivals, fundraisers, and good old-fashioned community fun happening in Smiths Falls, Perth, Carleton Place, Almonte, Montague, Merrickville, North Grenville, Rideau Lakes, Westport, and points in between.

Got and event to share?
Send the details to ljweir@pdgmedia.ca and we’ll do our best to include it in the next roundup.

Published every Thursday, alphabetically by region, just in time to tee up your weekend plans.

Let’s just take a collective pause, followed by a deep breath … Friday, Oct. 31: BLUE JAYS, GAME 6 AT HOME, 8 p.m. Will they do it like the 1993 and the 1992 Blue Jays did in Game 6? Cheer on the country’s favourite baseball team from the comfort of your home or with friends. Check the pubs out, they’ve probably got a TV or two tuned into the game.

Let’s continue with our regularly scheduled events’ programming …

Oh, before we get into it, don’t forget, time changes on Sunday evening. Fall back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. It’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke/CO2 alarms. You’re welcome.
