Top 3 issues facing your municipality and its residents that council has control or major influence over:

1. Need to hire a CEO and Fire Chief and identify other staff compliments needed
2. Crumbling infrastructure
3. Need for a four year strategic plan, asset management plan and fire master plan

Your solutions/approach to those 3 issues: We need to bring our arena up to compliance and restore programs. After reading both the Engineers and Fire Chief’s report, I would not feel comfortable allowing the public to use this facility until it meets compliance. We need to strike a committee for the development of a new multi-purpose community centre.
Hire both a Fire Chief and a CAO to stabilize both the safety and administration of this municipality.
By completing the Asset Management Plan – we can identify our immediate infrastructural concerns and prepare a list of priorities. For example which roads need to be addressed first. We need to begin a large scale community water survey to identify the state of our water and sewage in the Village of Lanark before we can explore options.
We need to complete the Fire Master Plan, identify volunteer training needs and costs associated. We need a four year strategic plan including measurable outcomes and timelines to ensure accountability of council and administration.

Do you own (or have a stake in) or operate a commercial/industrial business in your municipality? (Including vacant development lands or rental units): Yes I own property.
