Council’s second delegation came from Karen Bedard, Kemptville Music Festival, asking for a resolution from the Town recognizing Live at the Falls, a Blues Festival, slated for August 16 and 17 on the grounds of the Gallipeau Centre.
Bedard says to expect 2,500 people a day and adds her team will work to grow the festival as the Kemptville Festival has grown since 2015. The target audience is for more mature people with disposable income who will come and explore the area. Hard marketing for the event, she adds, will start end of April, early May. Day passes start at $40.
As well as music, guests can park and camp on the grounds. So far, the line-up includes Colin James, The Legendary Powder Blues Band, MonkeyJunk, Angel Forrest, Blues&Company, and Three Times Lucky.
