Top 3 issues facing your municipality and its residents that council has control or major influence over: Planned Rural Development, Infrastructure, Communication

Your solutions/approach to those 3 issues: Amend Official Plan to change hamlet core boundary, land severance policy, address lot size (rural development is necessary to support / sustain business growth, protect school closure and funding for community facilities). Ensure adequate funding to address ageing infrastructure (the need for good roads and bridges is vital to the development / growth of rural communities). Enhance internal / external communication through review / input of residents. Communication with all taxpayers either resident or non resident, is paramount to an effective, transparent council. With less media (newspaper coverage), effective communication takes on a greater importance. Not all rural community residents are joined at the hip with social media.

Do you own (or have a stake in) or operate a commercial/industrial business in your municipality? (Including vacant development lands or rental units): No
