Fatal motor vehicle collision on highway 15

On February 17, 2020 at approximately 10:45 p.m. The Frontenac detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Kingston Fire & Rescue and Kingston Paramedics, responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 15 between Sunbury Road and Sutherland Drive in the City of Kingston.

A passenger vehicle heading northbound on Highway 15 collided with a southbound pick-up truck. The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene. There was no one else in the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the pick-up truck were not injured.

The deceased has been identified as Percival Logan FRENCH, 19 years-old of Elgin Ontario.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionists were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Highway 15 traffic is detoured at Sunbury Rd and Sutherland Drive.
