Police seek help in finding federal inmate at large

A combined effort between Kingston Police and Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) through the Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement Team (ROPE) is continuing the search for federal inmate David Maracle, with assistance from correctional services of Canada.

Maracle walked away from the Henry Trail Correctional Facility located at 1453 Bath Road at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2017.

Maracle has an extensive criminal history with convictions that include possession of a weapon, break and enter, assault, kidnapping, sexual assaults, and overcome resistance choking.

In the interest of public safety Kingston Police is releasing the most current photo available of Maracle.

Kingston Police are asking that members of the public remain vigilant.  If you observe anyone who matches the above description and/or appears to be suspicious, please contact the following:

Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or on the website at www.tipsubmit.com.  Tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
