Post-mortem being done on dead man found in Appleton

A post mortem examination is scheduled for today, May 2, at Ottawa Hospital on the deceased 50-year old male that was found in the Village of Appleton on May 1.

The investigation, which is in its preliminary stages, is being conducted by the Lanark County Crime Unit, with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU). There are no public safety issues and no suspects are being sought.
