Top 3 issues facing your municipality and its residents that council has control or major influence over: Hamlet vitality, infrastructure upgrades, heritage.
Your solutions/approach to those 3 issues: To address hamlet vitality perhaps we need to include affordable seniors housing, so people can stay in their community and add day care centres to attract younger families. The township has come a long way in it’s 20 years with our road surfacing but there is still more to be done. Heritage is one of our biggest tourist attractions with an influx of people visiting from all over the world so we need to have businesses, like restaurants, bakeries, gift shops, bed and breakfasts or inns to make their stay with us more desirable.
Do you own (or have a stake in) or operate a commercial/industrial business in your municipality? (Including vacant development lands or rental units): I have lived in the village of Delta my entire life and for the past 31 years at my current home.
