The Bears delivered a great performance Friday night, winning against the Pembroke Limber Kings 6-2. The observant watcher undoubtedly noticed that former Bears goalie Jack Ryan now held the net for the Kings, while former Kings goalie Jake Smith guarded the Bears net.
Ryan Richardson opened scoring season at 11:43 with a powerplay goal, helped from Reid Russett and Jacob Cuffley. Pembroke followed suit when Brendan Browne scored late in the first period at 19:46.
The second period started with Anthony Urbisci putting the Bears into the lead again with a score at 4:27, assisted by Aaron Frenkel and Joel Holtrop. Noah Romeo extended the teams lead netting the next goal at 6:00 with help from Ryan Richardson and Theo Todd at. But the Kings fought back and Connor Warnholtz scored a powerplay goal for Pembroke at the 10:35 mark. At 16:33, Anthony Urbisci delivered his second score of the evening, with assists credited to Aaron Frenkel and Noah Romeo.
Ryan Richardson also scored his second goal of the game, when he flung the puck past the King’s goaltender at 5:06 in the third period, assisted by Joey Warywoda and Mitchell Larabie. Larabie went on to score the last goal at 14:59 with help from Noah Rowland and Ryan Richardson during a powerplay advantage.
First Star of the game went to Ryan Richardson, Second Star went to Anthony Urbisci, and Third Star went to Brendan Browne (PLK).
