On Jan. 19 the Smiths Falls Bears faced off against the Carleton Place Canadians. It was a hard fought battle for both sides but the Canadians ended up on top, resulting in a final score of  3-1.
Smiths Falls Bears’ Kyle Dowdall with assists from Bruce Coltart and Marc Shannon netted the first goal of the game, a mere ten seconds before the horn sounded to end the second period.

The Canadians struck back early in the third period with goal by Tim Theocharidis to tie the game. A powerplay goal by Travis Broughman at the 5.13 mark catapulted Carleton Place into the lead. The Bears decision to take Bradley Dobson out of the net at the last minute of play cost them another goal by Carleton Place’s Keenan Reynolds for the final total of 3-1.

Fist star of the game went to Tim Theocharidis (CPC), second star to Kyle Dowdall (SFB), and the third star went to Travis Broughman (CPC). The Canadians slightly outshot the Bears 24 to 19.
