Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to watch the Bears go on the ice and play.
Tuesday night provided the setting for the Smiths Falls Bears vs the Hawkesbury Hawks game on home ice. Attendance was a little disappointing though, but those 130 people got rewarded with a treat of a game.
Alex DiCarlo opened the scoring with the first goal at 1.25 minutes into the game, the only goal during the first period.
Early into the second period, he did it again with a power play goal for a 2-0 lead. Hawkesbury returned with a goal by Alec Taillon. But the Bears on a roll, and two goals by Michael Larose and Hunter Garlasco followed, bringing the Bears lead to 4-1 at the end of the second period.
Hunter Garlasco continued with yet another score unassisted at the beginning of the third period. David Jankowski then managed a score for the Hawks, but it was Brian Bygrave who scored the final goal, bringing the Bears win to a 6-2 final score.
First Star of the game went to Alex Dicarlo, Second Star to Hunter Garlasco, and Third Star to Alec Taillon of the Hawks.
