Students in the hospitality program at Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute cooked and served the food for an Irish stew luncheon at Heritage House Museum March 12. The event marked the opening of a new exhibit on the Ottawa Valley’s Irish heritage. Chef Jeff Burns serves up a bowl of stew with help from student Coral Craig.

The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum hosted an Irish stew luncheon on March 12.  The museum is partnered with the Town of Smiths Falls Tourism and Economic Development, the Local Immigration Program, and the Smiths Falls & District Collegiate Institute Hospitality class to offer a unique cultural experience that shares and promotes Irish heritage.
