The Bears winning streak came to an abrupt end Friday night with a disappointing 2-5  loss against the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Pembroke didn’t waste any time and scored no less than three goals during the first period alone. First came a short handed goal by Jacob Collins at 1:37, followed by a score by Connor Warnholtz at 14:39 and a powerplay goal by Michael Douglas one second before the end of the period.

Tate Leeson finally managed to put the Bears on the score board at the 18:02 mark in the second period, with the assist credited to goalie Jack Ryan.

A goal by Alexandre Way with help from Theo Todd at 12:45 in the third period brought the Bears a little closer to parity.  But a shorthanded unassisted goal by former Bear Alex DiCarlo at 14:56 and another shorthanded goal at 17:06 by Jacob Collins into the empty net evaporated all hopes for the Bears. Frustration boiled over during the final minute of play with a major fight erupting among the teams.

First Star of the game went to Jacob Collins (PLK), Second Star went to Scott Gervais and Third Star went to Alex DiCarlo (PLK).
