It was recommended to Committee of the Whole Monday evening that the Town convey a “stratified title” under Hershey Drive to link the properties known as 1 Hershey Drive and 2 Air Care Drive. This, says Karl Grenke, planner with the Town, would “merge” the addresses of Tweed Incs. two existing landholdings and would establish a legal link between the two. This is required under the licencing requirements of Health Canada for the expanded operations; Health Canada requires a single address apply to the entire operation.

Councillors agreed. Councillor Gallipeau asked for the dimensions – width is 66 feet, length is 200 feet and depth below the grade of the road is three metres for an overall 15,000 sq. ft. area. Troy Dunlop, Director of Public Works and Utilities, explained that such a depth would “safeguard the corridor for the facilities that do exist.” Gallipeau asked Grenke to find out why the length was 200 feet as to him it seemed a bit out of balance. The conveyance of the parcel has a price tag of $3,500. It will return to the next council as a By-law.
