Rideau Canal
Posted on: July 25, 2017

Parks Canada advises that high water levels have forced the Rideau Canal to close navigation on the waterway between Neworo and Kingston Mills lock station.

This means there will be no access to the canal between these two stations until further notice.

All visitors are encouraged to always exercise caution around water but especially now with water flows less predictable in this particular reach of the canal.

Updates will be available daily through our social media channels.

Parks Canada thanks the public for their cooperation at this time.
