ROPE Squad seeking public’s assistance locating federal offender

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of statutory release.

Manasie Ipeelee is described as an indigenous male, 49 years of age, 5’4″ (163 cm), 143 lbs (65 kgs) with long black hair, goatee and brown eyes (wears prescription glasses). He has tattoos of “M.I” on his upper right arm, “N.O.” & “M” on his left foreman, “R.K.,” Love on Fingers, heart & 4 dots on his left hand, “MI, TQ” on his upper back and “Mangi” on his left thigh.  

Ipeelee is serving a 1 year, 5 months and 20 day sentence for breaching a long term supervision order resulting from a six year sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm.  

The offender is known to frequent Ottawa as well as Iqaluit, Nunavut.
