Individuals charged in connection to several break and enter investigations

Three individuals have been charged with numerous offences after a series of break and enter investigations.

Beginning near the end of August, Eastern detachments started receiving reports of break and enters. With the assistance from members of the Renfrew, Grenville, Russell and Hawkesbury detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the East Region Community Street Crime Units continued the investigation.

As a result, Joseph CHARTIER, age 44 from Ottawa, Paul MAYNARD, age 48 from Ottawa, and Dario ORSAG, age 24 from Clarence-Rockland were charged with the following offences:

  • Break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence – nine counts
  • Possession break in instruments – nine counts
  • Theft over $5000 – nine counts
  • Trespassing at night – nine counts
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5000 – nine counts
  • Mischief under $5000 – nine counts
  • Disguise with intent – nine counts
