Town of Perth residents share their stories through “Embrace the Move” video series

From an active family of four to a couple who embraces arts and culture, The Town of Perth is excited to feature local residents and business owners with the launch of “Embrace the Move” – a video series aimed at promoting Perth as a nurturing environment for young families and a prime location for small to medium-sized businesses.

The “Embrace the Move” series features two main videos, each with a distinct focus to cater to the needs and aspirations of different audiences. The first video is designed to appeal to young families and couples, highlighting Perth’s welcoming community, excellent amenities, and high quality of life. The second video aims to attract small to medium-sized businesses by showcasing the supportive business environment, growth opportunities, and the advantages of setting roots in Perth.

“Whenever we meet a young family or business owner who moved to Perth from an urban area, we often hear the same kind of feedback: that our residents are always welcoming, there is so much for kids to do, and that it’s a gorgeous place to live,” says Cathy McNally, Director of Community Services. “The ‘Embrace the Move’ video series helps to tell and share those real-life stories.”

The Town has also created a series of engaging 30-second shorts from each main video. These shorts, each focusing on a different theme, will run as ads online to capture the audience’s attention quickly and effectively across various online platforms.

“We want to bring authentic voices to our marketing efforts when it comes to economic development,” says McNally. “This initiative is another step of the Town’s efforts to showcase our rural community to a wider audience, while also examining how our municipality can best prepare for and support new residents and businesses coming to Perth.”

All videos are hosted on the Town’s official YouTube channel and are set for public release over the next several weeks. The Town invites everyone to view the videos and join in the effort to spread the word. With the collective support of the community, Perth looks forward to welcoming new residents and businesses, reinforcing its reputation as an ideal place to live, work, and grow.
