Saturday, July 12, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., beside the library on High Street. Local produce, crafts, food and sharpshooting knife sharpening. Ideal stop before Celtfest. 

Carleton Place

Carleton Place Farmers’ Market
Saturday, July 12, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Market Square Pavilion, 7 Beckwith Street. Local produce, baking and handmade treasures. 

Findlays of High Street
Sunday, July 13, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Join the fun on High Street as the Heritage Museum takes visitors on a walkabout to remember the Findlay Foundry and the people who worked there, then see the homes built by the family. Tickets are $20 and available at the museum. 

Elgin

Elgin Days
July 10-13: This fun-filled event is going on Thursday night, Friday afternoon, Saturday with a parade at 1 and a theme of “A Canadian Summer.” It starts at the high school and heads into the village. Lots going on all weekend. It wraps up Sunday with even more events. All weekend enjoy live entertainment and a chicken barbecue on Saturday. Watch their Facebook page for a list of events.  

July 13: Kitchen Party Family Open Mic – St. Columban’s Church Hall, Elgin, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone welcome; donations support the Church Roof Fund and CWL. Light refreshments served. 

Merrickville

Chateau Mille Fleurs: Wedding and Event Venue Open House
July 13, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 14262 County Road 15, Merrickville. Do you want your day to be perfect? Come check out what this place has to offer during an open house on July 13. Treats and wine available. 

Perth

Perth Farmers’ Market
Saturday, July 12, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Crystal Palace. Riverside setting with produce, prepared foods and artisan crafts. 

Studio Theatre, Perth: Stepping Out
Laugh, cheer and tap your toes as this play hits the stage with a fabulous cast including Pattie Greer, Joanna Treffers and Chrystine Williams. Check the website for more detail including show time and prices. 

Smiths Falls

Quilts on the Tay
Lanark County Quilters Guild is hosting this event on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre. Admission is $10, cash only. Features award winning artist Carol Darou. See contemporary, traditional quilts. Marchant mall, door prizes and a quilters’ café.

Head Over Heels at The Cove Inn
Sunday, July 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. Kevin and Vanessa Head are Head over Heels, an acoustic guitar/vocal duo from Gananoque. They perform a mix o original music and interpreted covers of folk, jazz, classic rock and contemporary tunes!
