Downtown Perth sparkles with festive magic this holiday season

PERTH — The holiday season is here and downtown Perth is set to shine. From twinkling storefronts to family-friendly events, the Downtown Heritage Perth BIA is inviting everyone to celebrate with a series of free activities and promotions that showcase the charm of the community.

Shop Stamp and Win Nov. 15 to Dec. 31

Holiday shopping in downtown Perth now comes with prizes. The annual Shop Stamp and Win promotion is back, with multiple prizes available, including a grand prize that features one night of accommodation and two $50 spa certificates provided by the Perth Parkside Hotel and Spa.

Shoppers can pick up a ballot at participating BIA businesses and receive a stamp for every $10 spent between Nov. 15 and Dec. 31. Completed ballots can be entered for a chance to win. Prize winners will be contacted in mid-January 2026.

This promotion helps support local shops and makes gift buying close to home both festive and fun.

Once Upon a Christmas Nov. 22

Once Upon a Christmas returns on Saturday, Nov. 22. The free celebration is presented by the Downtown Heritage Perth BIA with support from community sponsors including the Perth Museum, Perth Children’s House Montessori School, Embers, Stephanie Mols, Lanark Lifestyles, Sheri Mahon-Fournier, Paul Martin and the McCabe Team.

Downtown will transform into a festive streetscape filled with holiday music, activities for families, Santa sightings and seasonal cheer. Full details are available at downtownperthbia.ca.

Holiday Merchant Display Contest Nov. 22 to Dec. 14

Downtown storefronts will be dressed for the holidays with unique and creative window displays. From Nov. 22 to Dec. 14, visitors are encouraged to explore the decorated streets, view the displays and vote for their favourites. QR codes will be posted at participating businesses.

Votes will determine this year’s standout displays and winners will receive recognition and a few surprises.

Celebrate Local. Celebrate Perth.

The Downtown Heritage Perth BIA invites everyone to experience the best of the season. Enjoy festive displays, local shopping and community celebrations. Come for the shopping. Stay for the sights. Discover why Perth shines during the holidays.
