Community campaign returns to support Perth’s Good Food Bank this giving season

Toonies for the Table campaign spreads generosity across Perth

PERTH — The beloved community campaign Toonies for the Table is back running between November 5 – December 19, 2025. 2023’s successful campaign raised $17K for The Table and this year, the need is greater than ever and we are hoping to raise at least $20K. As the season of giving begins, residents of Perth are encouraged to show their support for neighbours facing food insecurity by dropping their spare change, especially those handy toonies, into collection jars placed at local businesses throughout town.

With the rising cost of food and an increase in the number of people relying on the Good Food Bank, every coin truly counts. This simple act of generosity can help stock shelves, fill plates, and bring a little hope to those who need it most.

“We’ve seen a significant uptick in demand this year, and community initiatives like Toonies for the Table are critical in helping us keep up,” said a spokesperson from the Good Food Bank. “A single toonie may not seem like much, but when a whole town comes together, the impact is remarkable.”

Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, doing your holiday shopping, or stopping by your favourite local spot, keep an eye out for the Toonies for the Table jars, and consider making a small donation. It’s a simple, tangible way to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Together, let’s help ensure no one in our community goes hungry this holiday season. Thank you for your good will and support.
