A filming notice delivered to residents outlined a full day of activity from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., including walk-and-talk scenes, bike shots and intermittent OPP-managed traffic stoppages between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The scenes were centred around 66 Bridge St., with several takes happening near the bowling alley Chasin’ Turkeys.

According to the notice, technical trucks were staged at College and Victoria streets, with basecamp set up at the Farmer’s Market.

The celebrity presence drew attention from locals. Carleton Place councillor Linda Seccaspina posted that she sent her husband Steve to check out the activity downtown. He returned with a photo of Anderson sitting on a bench. “He wasn’t sure at first, but when she stood up and turned around, he knew,” she wrote.

Mayor Toby Randell also shared the filming notice to update residents about the temporary traffic impacts.

The film follows Jean, a mother who meets an actor and spends a day navigating personal revelations and family relationships. The production company thanked the community and Ottawa-area crew for accommodating the shoot.
