After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Canada Day celebrations will resume in Lower Reach Park, announced Smiths Falls Mayor Shawn Pankow during the town council meeting on Monday night.

From 11am until 3pm the park will be abuzz with family fun and entertainment, such as the ever-popular DJ Johnny 5, a vendor’s market, face painting, buskers, and cupcakes for the public. There will also be bouncy castles and inflatables for children, a Kinsmen barbecue for the community, and a speech from Mayor Pankow.

There will be free space available for community vendors at the market.

In the evening, there will be live music from 630-930, as well as a 4° Brewery beer tent. The live music will be followed by a fireworks display after sunset.

“We are excited to bring that forward and celebrate Canada Day as we have in years past,” added Mayor Pankow.
